How to Mirror Buddhism Canon Series?

Note: If your mirror site didn't list above, please let me know. I will add your site on the list. Thank you!

Here is the compressed file of the whole Buddhism Canon Series WWW Version. Please use gunzip and tar -xf (or by simply using WinZip ) to uncompress it. It will extract out a directory called "canon/" and then put all the files into it.

(If the download speed of canon.tar.gz is too slow, please try download it from the US.)

    That's OK. I have tar+gz the file, and put it on
ftp://nctuccca.edu.tw/Chinese/buddhism/tools/canon.tar.gz

    It's about 15MB. You may use web browser to transfer it.
If it's too slow for download from that site, just let me know.
I will put that file on another site (nctuccca.edu.tw) if necessary.

    After getting that file, you need to:
gunzip canon.tgz
tar -xf canon.tar

    It will create a directory called "canon",
and put all the files in it.

    However, the search function may not work well
because it's not at the same OS. (It need to be
re-compiled, but it's a little too complex because
I didn't prepare for complile it again when I designed it.)

    Please note that:
1. Please don't use the material to gain money. It's not for commercial use.
   I didn't get any money support in doing the collection and designing, too.
   It's the principle of transferring "dharma" - free for anyone :)
2. Please remain a link to
   a. http://ccbs.ntu.edu.tw/canon/
   b. ftp://nctuccca.edu.tw/Chinese/buddhism
   c. telnet://cbs.ntu.edu.tw  ("BudaTech" board).
   There may be upgrade versions of Buddhism Canon Series in the future.
   People (including you) may get the newer version from those site.
   (However, it may not happen in half an year because I'm too busy.
    But there are still newer sutras keyined by friends. You can get
    the newer articles from the "BudaTech" board in telnet://cbs.ntu.edu.tw.
    respectively.)
3. Feel free to spread it with above notice to the receivers :)

    I think it's because I use the HTML tag:
meta ...... charset="chinese-big5"

    Maybe the TwinBridge can't distinguish that line,
so that transfer it incorrectly..
